Search Engine Optimisation
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Tony Blair once said Education, Education, Education when fighting a general election in the UK. In SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) It’s Position, Position, Position. There have been a lot of figures thrown around regarding online purchasing and buying power, all of them saying the same thing. The amount of money spent online, in all areas is simply staggering. The whole world is your market place, it’s so easy to make sales online, you are not limited to your local area, unless of course you provide a local service.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Its a global world we live in, its no longer enough to just advertise locally, or add your business to the yellow pages. If you are selling any kind of product then you must make use of the global market place. The increase in your business sales and revenue could be unlimited, you must ensure that your global presence is being seen, you must ensure that when someone in Holland or America type your product name into Google then you are at least on the first page. This is why SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is so very important to you. Good Search Engine Optimisation is essential.
There is a catch of course, you really have to be on the first page of Google and here’s why;
- Number one position receives 42.25% of all through traffic
- The second placed site receives 11.94%
- Third place on the first page gets 8.47%
- The fourth placed position on page one receives 6.05%
- The others on the first page are under 5% of traffic
- The first ten results (on page one ) received 89.71% of all click-through traffic,
- The next 10 results (normally listed on the second page of results) received 4.37%
- Third page receives a total of 2.42 %
- The fifth page receives a total of only 1.07%
- All other pages of results received less than 1% of total search traffic clicks.
